From 25 to 27 November 2025, the CEU San Pablo University in Madrid successfully hosted the Sustainability Business and Legal Game. An Innovative Teaching Workshop developed within the framework of the Erasmus+ Project BEYOND – Boosting and Enhancing Youngs’ Next generation awareness for ESG values Development.
For three days, students from the University of Pisa, CEU San Pablo University (Madrid), the University of Messina and Nürtingen-Geislingen University (Germany) came together to engage in an enriching European learning experience that blended strategic management, sustainability, and responsible decision-making.
Participants worked in international mixed teams using the priME SIM Strategic Management Professional business simulation game.
Through this interactive platform, students faced realistic managerial challenges where economic performance, environmental sustainability and legal compliance had to be carefully balanced.
These activities encouraged teams to develop key competencies, such as:
- Develop advanced skills in strategic thinking and ESG integration
- Navigate complex trade-offs through collaborative decision-making
- Apply theoretical knowledge in practical, high-stakes scenarios
The Simulation Game proved to be a powerful tool for understanding how ESG dynamics influence business strategy, helping participants reflect on the role of managers and institutions in shaping sustainable futures.
A Step Forward for ESG Education
The Sustainability Business and Legal Game once again demonstrated the value of innovative teaching approaches in equipping Europe’s next generation with the competencies needed to navigate complex sustainability challenges.
Thanks to the collaborative effort of all partner universities, the event stands as a meaningful contribution to the mission of the BEYOND Project: promoting awareness, responsibility, and engagement around ESG values.
A valuable step forward for ESG centered education and a promising milestone for future BEYOND initiatives.
Stay tuned for upcoming events and further activities within the BEYOND Project!
